For some, Mother’s Day brings warmth. Connection. A quiet gratitude.

For others, it surfaces something heavier. The weight of being the one who holds things together. The awareness of how much is being carried inside without anywhere to set it down.

Both can be true in the same person, on the same day.

As a mom, I am grateful and blessed to be spending today with my adult son. And in the same breath, my heart and mind go out to the moms who have lost a child. There is no ordinary way to carry that. I am thinking of you today.

As a daughter whose mom is in Heaven, I miss her every day. She showed me how to be strong, loving yet gentle, compassionate yet firm, and above all, generous. Most of who I am in this work, I learned from her.

In honor of my mom, I have been running Standing in Your Power™ as a private one to one mentorship for fifteen years. In that time, I have had the privilege of working with caregivers, men and women, around the world. People who hold a great deal for others and rarely have a place to set it down themselves.

What I notice, year after year, is how many people are functioning beautifully on the outside while quietly managing pressure, overthinking, and emotional fatigue on the inside. There is rarely space to name it. There is rarely structure to move through it. That is what this work is for.

Today, in my mom’s honor, I am opening a few extra spots in this round. And for those of you here on Substack, I am offering them at a discount. I wanted to do something as a quiet thank you for being in this space with me and supporting the work I do.

If you would like one of those spots, reply with the word POWER and I will send the details privately. No pressure to take it. It is simply offered.

If you would rather look first, the full details are here: Standing in Your Power

And if a conversation feels like the better starting point, a Clarity Call is here: Clarity Call

Whatever today brings up for you, I hope you have a moment of stillness in it. To the mothers, to the daughters, to the sons, to the ones missing someone, to the ones being missed. You are held in my thoughts today. Happy Mother’s Day to you all and have a wonderful weekend.

Thank you for being here.

Always,

Lorri
