Is there a tax benefit to paying my wife a salary instead being sole income.

Hello everyone,

I work as a sole proprietor in tourism and am preparing to incorporate to go full time.

My wife is currently stay at home but looking for remote work. She helps me with various aspects of the business already.

Projected annual revenue is around 15M with low overhead.

My question is: can I lower the amount of taxes I pay on income if I increase my business expenses by hiring my wife-either as an employee or as a subcontractor.

The theory is to move the amount of income being taxed most heavily to her where it will be taxed less.

Are there any ways to do this that make sense?

Are there any problems that might arise due to this?
