If you’re anything like me, that question feels all too familiar. London is a maze, an exciting, sometimes overwhelming one.

I still remember arriving in London nearly nine years ago, two big suitcases in tow and a head full of dreams. As I gazed out the train window, the city’s enormity hit me. Little did I know how challenging it would be to find a place to live, especially when estate agents aren’t always as helpful as you’d hope!!

Consider This:

• 32 Boroughs + the City: Each with its own unique character.

• Over 270 tube stations (plus buses, trains, etc.): Location is everything.

• A variety of homes: From historic flats to modern apartments, with prices that vary widely.

• Everything nearby: Shops, parks, restaurants, gyms, workplaces—you name it.

• Unseen (although felt) factors : Safety, community vibe, and the overall atmosphere that you can’t capture on a map, yet they matter tremendously.

That’s why I started London Property Lab.

Over the past few months, I’ve been diving deep into various public data sources related to the property market. There’s a wealth of information out there, but it’s often scattered and confusing, making it hard to use, particularly without some basic coding skills.

My aim is to transform that raw data into simple, practical advice. Along the way, I’ll share interesting trends, hidden gems, and the quirky nuances of London’s property scene.
