Happy New Year friends!
I hope you all had a Christmas to remember. Ideally for positive reasons, and not because of a trauma response. Memories can, of course, like Marlon Brando or Schrödinger’s cat, go both ways. Mine was spent at my mum’s house where the boiler was broken and we were huddled around the stove like the little women from Little Women. My sister very literally knitted me a pair of socks. It was memorable.
Anyway, the box with 2026 written on it has new things inside. Firstly, some new shows in which I work out some new material in both London and Bristol. Click on the image below for tickets.
And next up an exclusive! Just for you guys here who read the newsletter, I’m giving you early access to the ticket link for my new project this year - Ben’s Book Club!
It’s a bit of an experiment - a comedy show and also a book club! Basically, two brilliant comedians (this month Olga Koch and Bella Hull) and I read the same book (this month All Fours by Miranda July), and you the audience are encouraged to do the same (though it ain’t mandatory) - then we chat! There’ll be some gags for the comedy fans, some in-depth discussion for the bibliophiles, some wine for the afternoon drunks, and plenty of opportunity for you to air your own opinions. Come along to the first of hopefully many!
Anyway as before, I’m shrouding my book recommendations ‘neath the paywall below. Please do feel free to subscribe to get that delicious, nuggety intel.
