Sevilla will be taking on Rayo Vallecano at the Ramon Sánchez-Pizjuan this evening, and for the Andalusians who spent much of last season in the stress of relegation fear, the club and the fans will be relieved to finally be starting fresh.
Last season was an absolute disaster of a season for the Sevillistas and for a while even the most optimistic Sevilla fan probably were imagining the sights of playing in the Segunda. It really wasn’t a pleasant thing to watch for anyone who remembers Sevilla as a top-four contender and six-time Europa League winners.
