Creativity seems to have a mind of its own. It pauses when it wants to and mostly moves like a wave: placidly sometimes and with great force at other times. But then as suddenly it just disappears. Whoever thought that creativity walks a straight line is mistaken. The path it takes is crooked for sure and it wickedly plays hide and seek!
On some lucky days creativity flows like a river, effortlessly. There are days when everything falls into place, and a satisfying photograph is created. Sometimes just one and sometimes many. Then there is just a slide down again. Creativity disappears and making everything seem dull and uninteresting.
But it’s really not over yet. There is hope. It begins with some musings on ideas that have not worked out. There are reflections on the ones that were abandoned midway, some more about the ideas from which one moved away. And then one sees that beautiful light.
A straight line is perhaps about clarity and order. But I guess it’s the ups and downs, the lines that are crooked which enable interesting art. I believe that when one goes down a winding path, one is sure to bump into curiosity. It just has to find you!
Thank you for reading and engaging with this post. It’s great to have you here!
