Why I walked away from a 6-figure revenue stream...and would do it again and again

A common — and I admit, flattering — question I get asked at least a few times a month by clients or prospective clients is:

“Do you offer ongoing coaching packages?”

The answer is no.

Not because I don’t enjoy coaching my clients. Quite the opposite. Some of my favorite sessions are the deeper dives I get to do with returning clients, where we explore a specific pattern they're noticing, workshop a difficult decision, or use Human Design to navigate a challenge they're currently facing.

But every time I’ve considered (or experimented with) offering a six- or twelve-month coaching container, I come to the same conclusion: it’s not for me.

Which is...slightly inconvenient, to be honest.

Because from a business perspective, it’s an incredibly compelling model. A handful of high-ticket coaching clients can create a very comfortable, reliable six-figure (even seven-figure for some!) revenue stream.

(Which is why I’ve been tempted more than once.)

And yet, I trust my inner authority enough to recognize that while it makes perfect “business sense”, it’s not aligned for me. At least not right now.

But the requests keep coming…

Which has forced me to reflect on why this type of offer doesn’t feel like the right fit. And I wanted to share what came out of this contemplation exercise, because I think we need more examples of people intentionally not choosing the most obviously profitable path — or the one that all the “experts” are encouraging you to take.

Human Design didn’t make this decision for me. But it did help me translate what my body was trying to tell me. Moreover, it helped me understand why this particular business model might feel limiting for me, even though it’s expansive for others.

And for some reason, this awareness made it easier to accept…and give myself permission to honor my authority’s guidance.

There are countless ways to build a successful business and even more ways to create (financial) abundance. But the only "right" approach for you is the one that allows you to contribute your unique gifts in a way that feels deeply fulfilling to your soul and genuinely supportive of your nervous system.

So here are the four reasons I’ve intentionally chosen not to build a high-ticket coaching practice.
