A weed appears where we were not planning to grow anything, in the crack, at the edge, under the fence, right where the path was supposed to stay clear.
Sounds a bit like writing, right? You begin with one plan, and then a detail arrives that was not in the plan at all, or a sentence that feels too strange, ”too much,“ or super off-topic, but keeps on pushing up.
Today I’m guiding you through a writing and rewriting practice to follow the weeds, unexpected details, strange sentences, whatever persists and shows up even if it feels unwanted or out of place. Especially if it feels that way.
