Also! SAVE THE FRIGGIN’ DATE PEOPLE! Vassar just announced Eliot Weinberger will be giving the Elizabeth Bishop lecture in October. I nearly jumped out of my chair. In an interview a couple years ago Benjamin Labatut said that Weinberger does things with the essay that shouldn’t be possible. An Elemental Thing is a great place to start. Vassar FTW.
