Hey there. It’s July in Texas, and that means we’re burning up. Heading for a week of 100°+, with one extra special day next week forecast for 107°. Why do I live here?
Where I live is something I’m contemplating right now. I was thinking of buying a mobile home, but everything that looks decent is in a park with terrible ratings, and I can’t quite swing buying my own land at the moment. I don’t love it where I am, but I can’t figure out where to jump next. Why is being a grown up so complicated?
Here’s what I’ve been up to for the past few weeks:
Little Monster ACEOs, based on the drawings I did for the Central Arts children’s program in 2020. I’ve always loved doodling these guys. You can see better photos of them on my web site. They’re also all over my TikTok right now. And they’re listed for sale on eBay, Artminta and Tiny Gallery, with different cards on each site.
Also on TikTok: clips from my lives. I’ve been going live most days, in the afternoon or evening. Please stop in and say hello if we’re on at the same time.
Elsewhere, I enjoyed the zine making challenges being posted by ArtizineUK this month. Start with this post, and work your way through them. There’s a ton of info being posted on different methods of making handmade zines.
