Don’t worry, this is not going to become a poetry blog. I’m not a poet. I just felt inspired to write this after traveling and spending time with old friends.

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

The ones that hold her keys, her wallet and lip gloss
The loves she lost
The baby she lost
The time she lost
The selves she lost
The friends she misses
The people she buried.
Cough drops, Band-Aids and Kleenex
Cheese sticks, nuts
Water bottle, sunscreen
From the time before you
From the hours when you are gone
Ticket stubs, restaurant receipts
From the moments she wants to remember,
Because this love for you is all-consuming
And she can’t let herself disappear.
