I haven’t been making a lot of art in the past couple of months due to multiple personal reasons, but I am finally feeling inspiration is coming back! After a quieter period I always try to start with baby steps and easier projects, so here are some resources that I found helpful or inspiring in some way:
Making intuitive abstract collages - Louise Fletcher. A great exercise from Louise, love the simple process and collage is always a great idea!
Sun, Moon + Sea - Blakely Little. I have been always calmed down and grounded by Blakely’s art, love to use her work to make warm up drawings in my sketchbooks.
Creative Elements Challenge (Free) - Laura Horn. This is a low-pressure free 5-day challenge with great sketchbook exercises.
Finding Your Scene, IRL Creativity, the Hopeful Return of Indie / DIY with Hanif Abdurraqib - Creative Pep Talk Podcast. A great listen during your art-making session or when you are on the go!
I hope you find something on this list that inspires you to make art or undertake a little creative something. Have a lovely and sunny June full of creativity in all forms!
