Yes, I know this will come back to bite me in the ass, but I don’t care.

To those of you who care more about the color of a person’s skin and the anatomy in a person’s pants than the right for everyone to live a full, complete, safe life—you made your choice; now you will have to live with it.

To all of you who care more about your guns than your children—you cast your vote, and now you will sit back and watch as more people die needlessly.

To all of you who want women under your control and don’t really give a shit about babies but only fetuses—the blood is on your hands.

To all of you who think that a corrupt, sexist, racist, disgusting criminal will somehow make your lives better—enjoy the nightmare that will soon smack you in the face.

To all who think that your belief in a book that you have corrupted with your hypocrisy—hell is the world that you just created.

To all that think that my voice and the voice and choices of my daughter don’t matter—you haven’t heard anything yet.

I do not have to like you. I do not have to respect you. I’m not rich. I’m not powerful. But I am better than you.

Why? Because I would help you if you were broken even while I despise you. Because I would give you food if you were starving, even as you would watch me die. Because I find diversity in all its bright and wonderful colors wonderful, while you lock yourself behind your whiteness and your bank accounts, unable to see the true beauty of a world where everyone is unique.

Someday you will realize the damage you have done—to the country, to the world, to your children, to your daughters, and (for so many) to yourselves.

I feel sorry for you.

Meanwhile, those on the kinder side of history will never give up. We will find a better way without you.

With the death of a dream, something better will be born.
