Michelle Jaqua · Lipedema Insured with Michelle Jaqua

I recently attended a weekend seminar that covered lipedema surgery and everything involved in pre- and post-surgery care, including the necessary purchase of compression garments.

I found that a lot of women have paid out-of-pocket for their compression for daily use and for surgery. And specialized compression can cost hundreds of dollars.

Compression is a necessary medical treatment for lipolymphedema. Compression garments should be considered durable medical equipment (DME) similar to a walker, a lymphatic pump, or even oxygen.

Even though compression garments are often medically necessary for lipedema, many insurance plans will only reimburse them if the diagnosis is lymphedema (ICD-10: I89.0 or similar). But there are ways to navigate this.

Before I get into it, I want to also give you something!

Lymphedema Products is having a promotional sale during the month of May!

You can save up to 21% on their products by using their promo code: FLOWERS

I receive regular emails from this site, and wanted to pass this along to you if you’re interested (I am not affiliated with this company NOR do I receive any money from this offer/promotion. This is just me passing on information to you!)
