One day, I'll be easy to love

I wrote ‘Easy to Love’ in a studio three years ago with two Californian surfer bros with whom I shared a love for waves, Asian food and the lyricism of Leonard Cohen, and for a year, the song has been hidden in the exclusive vinyl release of Swim, Swim (in Sakura Pink, no less).

We didn’t know one another very well then, but I have always felt that the Universe magnetises to you at various points in your life people who share in the same experiences you’re going through. I think we wrote this song in a collectively flux-filled, fluid state: uncertain, yearning, a little bit restless, nevertheless knowing that great things awaited, or greater versions of ourselves were waiting on the other side of the door, as long as we were only patient enough to keep moving, and brave enough to step through.
