Happy first day of April and National Poetry Month! I’ve been working on something that I’m excited to be able to share with you today. Many of you may have seen my Poetry in the Field readings on YouTube. Now I’m expanding these horizons to include a home for Poetry in the Field here on Substack!
I’m creating a separate newsletter and online space for those interested in all things poetry (no pressure). It will be a place to explore, enjoy and engage with poetry, with field-note type posts, videos, challenges and more—come check it out at the link below!

I have a million and one things on my to-do list these days, which is exactly why I know I need more poetry in my life. More sitting on the front porch in a self-imposed poetry time out. More slowing down to catch the whispers that cannot be chased, only received. More marinating in the words that seem most akin to prayer in my soul.
Poetry is life-giving. Let’s head to the field.—“You come too.”1
