The most read Fashion Soup newsletter last month was Casual Vibes Only, and that was definitely the M.O. for the month, based on what we bought and wore. (We’re clearly still craving easy pants - soft, pull-on styles took up 5 of the top 10 spots - and sporty shorts!) I love this energy for us, and I hope it will continue for the next few weeks. I know many of you are staring down back-to-school, but us New Yorkers don’t go back until after Labor Day, and I’m planning to cram as much summer as I can into the last few weeks of August. Casual vibes only!
Without further ado, here’s what we bought and loved last month.
On Jennifer Klee’s sage counsel, these are the shorts that convinced me to wear denim shorts again this summer.
Pairing these shorts with a long-sleeve top and ballet flats or sneakers instead of flip-flops is a great way to shift the mood as we crave a new feeling. The white is almost sold out, but I love the black, too.
Especially in summer ;)
The pull-on pant train keeps chugging, and I am working on a post about how to style these as we head into fall. In the meantime, there are a few sizes/colors left in this pant, so snag now!
So many good colors in this pant (and the matching shirt, shell, or peplum top)...I also love the balloon jogger version, which are very on trend.
They also just launched this new subtle barrel-leg jean for fall in two new washes.
