Hello!
Earlier this year, I shared my interview with LTJ Bukem and MC Conrad which published in Lotus Magazine’s July 2000 Issue. At the time, I had forgotten that I had conducted a much more in-depth interview with Bukem for DJ Times Magazine, which is far-reaching and covers many aspects of his career including his standard-bearing record labels, Good Looking and Looking Good.
I start the DJ Times story by saying there is that one album that converts listeners to drum ‘n’ bass and for many people, that is LTJ Bukem Presents Logical Progression. This was not only true at the time the album was released. The impact of Bukem is long lasting. I’ve interviewed Rob Gonzalez aka DJ Machete, who flies the drum ‘n’ bass flag here in Los Angeles, many times. He has told me that when Bukem DJs at Respect, Rob’s longstanding drum ‘n’ bass weekly, it attracts a whole other audience who don’t normally frequent the club.
