Wow. August??? Summer is absolutely flying by. People on the internet are posting about fall, pumpkins, and halloween decor while it’s 103 in Colorado today. I love fall as much as the next person, but you can pry summer from my cold, dead hands.

All that being said here are the things that wowed me in July.

  1. Natural Stone. I always love natural stone but in July I was working on two projects where the design is fully dictated by the stone. Stone first, decisions second. The ones I have been drawn to are:

This may contain: a large green marble slab sitting on top of a dolly
Green Onyx. I think this might be the stone we go for in a kitchen project I am working on. With copper, brass, and a stunning maroon range. I cannot wait.
Breccia Venice. The movement in this is SO fun to me. I really like the bold colors but the only thing holding me back is it might be feeling a little to flag like to me? But maybe I’m crazy.
This may contain: a large slab of marble in a warehouse
Fusion Quartzite. I am considering this for a very very special project. (;

2. The Pierce & Ward x West Elm collab. I have truly never been this obsessed with a collection before. This line hits the collected, effortless, fun, funky, bold, but classic notes that most others don’t. I am eyeing quite a few pieces for my own home and I did a round-up of some of my favorites HERE and will share some below as well.

Alt image 1 for Pierce & Ward 3-Drawer Fabric Inlay Grand Nightstand (28")
I am OBSESSED with this nightstand. It feels like a Parisian trunk and the pattern is so good. These would work well across so many different interior styles.
Alt image 2 for Pierce & Ward Rolled Arm Sofa (76"–96")
This sofa screams warm, layered, collected, modern, but also aged? I love it.

This fixture is everything. It also comes in a red shade which is equally as perfect.
  1. Burl wood. The movement, the character, the texture. It adds the perfect amount of personality while still being a neutral. Ive been thinking about it as a vanity in a bathroom, wall paneling (even though that would be incredibly bold), I actually would love it as a phone case, as a frame for art, literally for anything. I am super into it right now.

Lemieux et Cie Heirloom Walnut Burl Wood peel and stick wallpaper with warm brown tones and swirling organic grain, perfect for offices and libraries.
    Like look at this!!!
  2. Wood stains from Linolie & Pigment. I have not used these personally but I have been DYING to. I think it is such a fun take on a wood stain and again, a perfect way to inject personality to a space. I will link their instagram because their website is in a different language and honestly, I don’t know how to change it haha.

Love!!!!
  1. A fun bevvie. I don’t know about you, but 3pm hits, my motivation crashes, and I need a cold, crisp, fun beverage. My go-to’s have been the Dr. Death Liquid Death (basically a soda water that tastes EXACTLY like Dr. Pepper (in my opinion)) and Olipop or Bloom Shirley Temples. For some reason I can’t stand Poppi so I will absolutely not recommend the one they do but the other ones are the perfect summer treat.

Hope you all had a great July and share your favs from the month below! I want to hear what you are loving!
