For the May series we’ll draw gorgeously patterned moths colored in rich mocha tones, French cakes focusing on yummy textures, vintage ogee prints that I’m sure you’ll find so satisfying to color. I want to show you one of my favorite flowers to draw—the blob-based lovely red-violet foxgloves, and finally, I’lll indulge you in the breathtaking beauty of vintage borders gathered from the 1600’s onwards—a great way to doll up your art.
As always, I demonstrate the imagery using watercolor, acrylic gouache, dip pens, gel pens, colored pencil—and anything else you request. I’ll demo a bit of iPad Procreate and the Ink Set App for those who are curious.
My goal is to help you fall in love with sketchbook journaling, grow your work, and play. And yes—you can ask me anything about illustration. I bring 30 years as an art agent (plus my own illustration career back in the day, with clients like Anna Wintour, the Grammys, and The New York Times, and representation in New York, Paris, and Tokyo), so… I’ve got stories. 😉
