Dear New Readers and Friends,

There’s a little shouting in this Substack #5. Numbers 1 through 3 were quiet and striving for self-revelation with a soft touch. And then in #4, the dam broke and a Trump cartoon came forth. And now this. I feel it so urgently. So here goes. Your comments are so very welcome!

I don’t care if Biden becomes so infirm he ends up in a wheelchair and needs Jill to interpret for him. We need him. We need his head and we need his heart.

And we need to help him, not destroy him.

How does it make sense to hound the 14th best president of all time out of office, for someone with less experience, and who has never been tested in the role?

Really? Get rid of Biden because he is not self-promoting with enough strength and fury, like the bottom-dwelling Loser who’s selling a bridge to violence and chaos?

REALITY CHECK:

There has NEVER been an American president more beset than Biden.

There has NEVER been an American president more beset than Biden.

There has NEVER been an American president more beset than Biden.

Face it: those thirteen top presidents in our history above Biden’s rank did not have to contend with. . .

  • a mentally ill narcissist puppet, dancing to the tune of conniving global corporations and sick manipulators like Steve Bannon;

  • a corrupt Supreme Court;

  • a 920-page plan in the works to destroy democracy;

  • an assault on women’s rights, the rights of LGBTQIA;

  • social media, swarming with conspiring foreign and domestic techheads,

  • AI and ultra-sophisticated technology that can blur and distort any message;

  • the threat of World War III with crises in the Middle East, in Ukraine, and with alliances building in Russia, China and North Korea;

  • millions of desperate climate crisis immigrants at our southern border;

  • so-called “liberal” media determined to set their own agenda;

  • a deeply divided country that is one-half costumed cult of pretend-Christians;

  • bumpstocks made legit and gun sales skyrocketing;

  • and millions of Americans so scared and confused they can’t think straight, 60% of whom have some kind of chronic health condition*—so they’ve forgotten what it’s like to feel good. Which makes it easier to feel angry,

  • not to mention the dark undercurrent of Deep Dread, as our beautiful Earth dies faster than ever with all of the bombs going off, while the uber-wealthy scramble to buy property around the globe for their backup safe spot.

Given such enormous challenges, how does Biden even stay upright to keep us safe and healing from all of the damage Trump left behind and continues to create?

And yet he does. And he showed up to debate when he was ill and exhausted, yet still remained to campaign until 2 AM afterwards.

If Biden were not able to finish out his term, he's well surrounded with a strong team of honest, committed, visionary women and men who will still keep on fighting for those principles that are the bedrock of our country.

And which he articulated so brilliantly in his State of the Union address.

But if Trump wins and dies in office--or is taken off to the nuthouse--no question that his cartel of felons and corporate criminals is still going to be there. Because it's not his crazy, treasonous agenda alone, right?

We worry about civil war? Aren’t we already in a civil war?

High prices at the gas pump? In the grocery store? In housing and durable goods? The timing of reducing interest rates? Trump’s promise that he’s such good friends with Putin that US journalist Evan Gershkovich will be freed the day he is sworn in?

We’re not going to let ourselves be manipulated again, are we?

The fight is now, not after the election. And if Biden wins, there will be another attempted coup. We’ve already been warned.

By 2020, Trump had already rolled back more than 100 Environmental Rules:
