Welcome to Issue 73 of Limitless Life…I hope you have all been enjoying the solstice energy, and all of the opportunities for new beginnings inherent in this exquisite transition.
This week I have something so profoundly beautiful to share with you, an experience that has left an impact so deep in my soul, that I will be talking about it in some way or another, for the rest of my life. There are moments inside a live teaching, inside a medicine circle, inside the unique and holy architecture of a container like LifePath, where the plan you created dissolves underneath the weight of something far more transformational than anything the mind could have organized... and this past Friday was one of those moments for me. I had originally “planned” to do a live inside of Quantum Inner Circle…throughout the week I had been going deep into the Cave of Treasures with my Lifepath community, guiding students - one by one - to understand and interpret the gifts they were given, and to assist in activating those gifts. It had been a week of true Divine Grace…watching each person awaken to the light within themselves. As that medicine was integrating, I planned to share some deep teachings in Quantum Inner Circle on Friday.
But the night before, after our Cave of Treasures session, something else began to shift, and by the time I woke the next morning I could feel that I was still inside that luminous chamber… where the treasures that have been buried for lifetimes beneath the wounds and the inherited contracts and the false humility begin to show themselves... in colors, in crystals, in animal teachers, in ancestors, and sometimes in presences so sacred that the whole earth moves.
I knew that the Divine Invitation was hold space in Lifepath for another Cave of Treasures journey.
I began the session as I had been doing all week, one by one, each soul sharing with me what they saw and felt in their own journey, as I was tracking and decoding and letting the messages come through the way they wanted to come…deep in the causal plane, receiving the blessings and the profound information coming through for each individual student. It had been a week of sacred gifts unfolding one after the other, with each soul witnessing the expansion of the other, present, supporting, uplifting, confirming… and I was already feeling the lightness of being that comes from spending so much continuous time in such a sacred space…the field of the archangels…a space among medicine women and men doing the actual work that it takes to live their highest lifepath…a space walked hand in hand with Jesus.
And then, as I was receiving the insights into one woman’s journey, I became enveloped in the swirling blue of the oceans and heavens. Blue light, blue water, something swirling and alive that felt like the sea and the heavens speaking in the same sacred language, merging together in effortless expansion, and before I even finished reading on my screen what she had typed about the rest of her journey, Saint Peter…the Apostle…appeared…emerged from the blue…made his presence known so powerfully. This was not an idea of Peter, not a symbol of him floating in the field because we happened to be speaking of Jesus...
it was Peter himself, the one Jesus named, the one whose life carries one of the most extraordinary teachings on failure and faith, grace and mercy that humanity has ever been given.
I had full body chills the instant he arrived, and I had to catch my breath as the tears began rolling down my face…as my heart felt like it had been magnified to the size of the sun….to experience this, live, in a room of 111 souls… was a gift of true anointing.
And the very first thing he showed me was his death.
His presence didn’t arrive with the triumph, or the keys he had been given by Jesus, or all the meaning that would be intertwined with his name for two thousand years. He came with the image of his final humility... his crucifixion upside down, his refusal to die in the same manner as his Savior, because even after he had been forgiven, even after he had been restored, even after he had been handed a mission and had been made one of the great living transmitters of THE path, he carried such reverence for Jesus that he asked them to turn him over, so that his death itself became one last embodied gesture of devotion.
Peter did not come first with the keys. He came with his death, upside-down on the cross. The medicine was in the humility, not the authority.
Peter’s life is one of the most important teachings on redemption precisely because he was not the perfect disciple, and that matters far more than people realize, because the religion-programmed narrative loves to flatten the sacred stories into stained glass and authoritative morality lessons, and in doing so it misses the living, breathing, trembling humanity of the very people who walked beside Jesus, failed him, and were still called forward by him.
Peter doubted.
As Jesus was walking on water towards the boat…He called Peter to walk to him…and Peter began walking on the water towards Jesus…yet the minute he started paying attention to the wind rising, the minute he took his eyes off Jesus he began sinking…and Jesus reached out his hand to pull him up.
Peter had declared many times to the other disciples that he would never deny Jesus...that he would die before doing that. Peter was a supremely confident and successful man, who prided himself on his strength, success, and self-reliance…and that is what ultimately caused his downfall. When the day came, and when the pressure actually arrived, when the courtyard and the soldiers and the danger became heavier than the confident identity he had spoken from only hours before, he denied even knowing him, three separate times, to a servant girl, while Jesus was being led away to die.
Peter was no better a man than Judas. In fact some would argue Peter was worse. He denied Jesus three separate times, denied even knowing Him. Yet when you hear the name Judas, you immediately think of betrayal…and of his decision to end his own life…ravaged by so much internal disgust and despair at what He had done to the perfect love of Jesus… Judas forever in our human history will represent the end of the line…the final choice of choosing eternal darkness due to his betrayal.
But when you hear the name of St. Peter, you think of “the rock” upon whom Jesus said He would build His church. Peter who Jesus told to “go feed my sheep.”
