I’ve seen people talking about the problem with getting any reach online more and more. Writers talk about it on here. Some comparing their meagre 16K followers with the multiple millions of others (I’m at just over 2K, so even more meagre!) and how hard it is to grow beyond that. And it is! Artist do the same here, on FB, IG, and anywhere else we’re encouraged to grow our audiences against near impossible odds. We’re ALL paying micro-payments for services that add up to large monthly outgoings. And we’re lucky if we can genuinely engage with 1% of the material we’d like to support, because there’s too much of it, and not enough time, let alone enough funds.
As such I try to run this as a freebie, while appreciating those that ARE able to support it for doing so. (Currently 24 of you pay for this, and it truly helps. I can’t thank you enough!) And I’m also grateful to those of you who take the time to peruse these missives, ruminations, updates and art posts. Most of all, I appreciate those who translate that into supporting my actual work. That in itself, I quite understand, is the same as all the above. We all have people who’s work we really like, but only have funds for those we truly adore.

To which, huge thanks - again - for everybody getting behind my Conan calendar and/or portfolio campaign. I’ve been very much enjoying colouring the art for this! I just have three new pieces to do and I’ll be golden - bar all the remarques, and possible full-figure art should any collector splash out for one of those three exclusive tiers!
