We got the shipping costs wrong at launch: the prices shown at checkout were higher than they should have been and we’re sorry.
To everyone who clicked through, reached the checkout, saw the delivery cost and balked — we understand why and we’re sorry for the shock. If you would like to try again, the checkout will show you different numbers this time.
Anyone who ordered before these prices were corrected will be refunded the difference automatically.
For transparency: we only discovered the issue partway through the first day, and we’ve spent the time since getting it fixed and getting the corrected numbers confirmed.
The complication is that the wine ships to 50 countries and every one has its own delivery rate, so we can’t list a price for all of them here. The table below covers the most common countries. It shows what the prices per bottle were originally and what they have now been corrected to.
We hope it gives you the clarity you deserve.
A note how shipping is calculated.
It's charged by band, not by bottle. 1 to 3 bottles ship for one flat price, 4 to 6 for another, 7 to 12 for another. So 3 bottles cost the same to ship as 1, and 6 the same as 4 — which is why it always makes sense to fill your band. Order 3, 6 or 12, and each bottle costs you the least.
