You're busy not productive

Most people think being busy means being productive.

They wear exhaustion like a badge of honour. “I worked 80 hours this week” sounds impressive until you realise half of it was responding to emails that didn’t matter.

Here’s the uncomfortable truth: if you’re working all the time, you’re probably not working on the right things.

The goal isn’t to do more work. The goal is to do less work that matters more.

Think about it. Would you rather work 60 hours a week doing tasks anyone could do, or 4 hours a week doing things only you can do?

Most people confuse movement with progress. They’re rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic and calling it a day’s work.

The real skill isn’t time management. It’s knowing what to ignore.

What would happen if you cut your to-do list in half and only focused on the two tasks that would actually move the needle?

You’d probably accomplish more in a day than most people do in a week.

That’s the difference between being busy and being effective.

I’ve recently taken a new approach to creating my Youtube videos which has had a dramatically positive effect on my engagement metrics.

Slowing down my process, planning more before shooting and putting emphasis on thumbnails has seen some of my best work yet:
