TRUE BELIEVER

Good morning!

The last we met, I talked some about my decades journey in the publishing world and boy, has it ever changed. I don’t even what the hell Book Tok is, and the last time I spoke to an editor she told me, “Romantasy is very, very hot now.” Romantasy? Considering that after tons of wonky relationships and two marriages that ended in divorce, I am still laughing. (When I pass a wedding, I have to fight the urge to yell out of my car window, “It’s not too late. Run!”)

I’ll get back to all that publishing stuff in another post soon, but this morning I just wanted to wish you happy holidays and share an essay that’s near and dear to my old heart. Hope you enjoy!
