Will China come to Trump’s rescue and help him crush Iran economically?

Unable to militarily defeat a second-rate regional power in Iran, the United States of America has now switched gears to try to defeat them economically. But they’ll need the help of other countries to pull off the feat.

This is a stunning turn of events because it represents an admission by official Washington that it has lost the war with Iran. It’s now begging China to help crush Iran economically.

This type of economic warfare will only work if China cooperates. Without China on board, the economic assault on Iran is doomed to fail just as miserably as the unprovoked military effort Washington has waged against that country.

Chinese President Xi Jinping is due to arrive in Washington in September, and I believe we will get our answer by then as to whether he is on board with Trump’s latest effort to destroy Iran.

I personally don’t think he will bite and Trump will suffer a humiliating loss to Iran. That’s dangerous because given Trump’s nature, he might resort to something insane rather than accept the loss. Yes, think the unthinkable. Nuclear weapons.

Iran will continue to be a tough nut to crack.

In fact, I would say the U.S. economy is in greater danger of collapse than is Iran’s. Look at the mess Trump has made, driving up the cost of gasoline, diesel and fertilizers and setting the stage for global famine in 2027. The Treasury Department’s scheme to head off economic disaster by buying up its own debt also looks like it will fail. Interest rates are rising and the stock market crashing.

The newly proposed sanctions against Iran are secondary sanctions. That means any country that continues to do business with Iran will be sanctioned and cut off from doing business with the U.S. and its allies. If China or India continue to buy Iranian oil, for example, they would be hit with economic sanctions by the U.S. and its allies.

This would seem to hurt the U.S. more than China because the U.S is so heavily dependent on Chinese imports, both for its military and civilian economies. Chinese rare-earth minerals, for example, are needed to build several key U.S. missiles and drone warfare components.

But the high-profile attempt to get China to help crush Iran also affirms what we already knew. The Trump administration is literally obsessed with Iran and unable to walk away. Why else would it risk everything three months before the midterm elections just to destroy Iran, a country it claims has no military capability left after months of U.S. and Israeli bombing raids? It’s not enough to weaken Iran, degrade its military capabilities and “obliterate” its nuclear program. Iran must be totally destroyed. Like Venezuela, Iran’s oil must be stolen.

Below is an excerpt from an August 21 article in the South China Morning Post:

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on Thursday urged China to join Washington’s latest efforts to economically pressure and isolate Iran after negotiations to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and end the six-month conflict collapsed.

“Keep in mind, the Chinese get 50 percent of their energy from the Gulf. So, it would do them a big service to get with the program,” Bessent told CNBC when asked whether the new economic sanctions would include China.

Bessent added that both allies and adversaries will be forced to choose sides in Washington’s latest campaign to isolate Iran economically, and he will share more details at a press conference next Monday.

“This is going to be the greatest coordinated economic isolation in the history of the world. And we are going to them and saying you are either with us or against us. It is going to work in Iran, and we are going to collapse this regime.”

This sounds like the desperate rantings of a man in charge of the finances of a failing empire. Treasury Secretary Bessent is as delusional as the man he works for. And as murderous. For if this economic isolation is successful, the very people they claimed to want to “liberate” from the Iranian mullahs will be left to starve in the streets.

And thus far, the Chinese are having none of it. They don’t sound a bit interested in participating in Trump’s plan to starve the Iranians out of existence.

In a response to the South China Morning Post, the Chinese embassy spokesman in Washington, Liu Chang, said “sanctions and pressure do not help resolve the problem. China calls on the relevant parties to take responsible actions and resolve the issue through political and diplomatic means.”

This is what happens when you start a war on false pretenses. Their entire rationale for this war was based on lies, that Iran is run by a maniacal group of religious zealots who, if allowed to get a nuclear weapon, would use it immediately against Israel. That never made sense, as the Iranians know they would guarantee their complete annihilation within minutes. The Iranians are shrewd geopolitical actors. Not crazed zealots as portreayed in the Western media.

And yet, in the eyes of our sociopathic American neocons, the possibility of a few Iranian nukes somehow posed more of a threat than thousands of nukes in the hands of Russia, China, Pakistan and North Korea. Trump actually cuddles up and makes nice with the North Korean dictator Kim Jung Un, who already possesses nukes capable of striking the American heartland and has made actual threats to send them our way.

These mentally deranged American neocons also believed faulty Israeli intelligence that said Iran’s government would collapse within days or weeks of a U.S./Israel air attack because the Iranian people would rise up and cast off their oppressive Islamic government.

These arguments were and are totally irrational but somehow held weight with millions of Trump’s MAGA followers. That’s how you know MAGA is a cult, because even after all of those preconceived notions about Iran have been proven false, Trump still holds roughly 70 percent or more of his Republican voting base intact. Only a cult member believes everything their leader says even when exposed as a proven fraud.

CHINA HOLDS THE WILDCARD

The only scenario I could see where the Trump administration is successful in crushing Iran is if China is acting as a double agent. In other words, China is merely pretending to be on the side of Russia and Iran and is actually working behind the scenes to help America defeat Iran and Russia. There are some, such as my friend Patrick Wood at Technocracy.news, who believe China is secretly aligned with American technocrats, and he could end up being right. Only time will tell.

Wood writes in his latest article:

“There is no race with China. China is not our arch-enemy. Forget multipolarity. The CCP isn't communist. It is a Technocracy, and birds of a feather flock together. Trump and the arch-Technocrats who are in China are not there to "give America away" but rather to fold China into the global Technocracy. They have boxed China in. Any other narrative will fall to the ground when you open your eyes to Technocracy.”

David Pyne, another friend and military analyst whom I respect, says the China-Iran relationship should be viewed very similar to the U.S.-Ukraine relationship. China is sending arms, intelligence, satellite data, etc., to Iran that helped the Islamic Republic hit U.S. military installations in the Gulf with pinpoint accuracy.

Iran is now dominant in the eastern Middle East while Israel is dominant in the western Middle East, Pyne said in an August 21 podcast interview with Pyotr Kurzin.

“The U.S. empire has been exposed as impotent,” Pyne said, suggesting that Trump may have missed his window to make peace with Iran in a way that allows him to save face.

Expect the two regional powers, Iran and Israel, to face off again before it’s over as World War III heats up.

In the meantime, watch China. Its role in this geopolitical transition to a New World Order cannot be overstated.

I still believe the American empire is going down. But that doesn’t mean we have to go down with it. Keep your eyes focused on Jesus, the King of kings, and remain skeptical of all human political leadership and you will never be taken in by the great end-times deception.
