On December 3rd, the House Oversight Committee released 150+ images from the interior of Jeffrey Epstein’s private island, Little St. James. Some of the images contained partial redactions, resulting in a flurry of speculation online as to what was underneath the black bars covering, for instance, the speed dial list on Epstein’s telephone.
Lucky for us, many of these images were actually previously released over 6 months ago by the O’keefe Media Group, with no redactions. Let’s take a look.

Below, I’ll do my best guess at breaking down the list—italicized names will be what Oversight Dems redacted.
NY Office - most likely the landline to Epstein’s townhouse on 71st St.
Karyna - Karyna Shuliak, possibly the last person to hear Epstein alive—she was Epstein’s girlfriend and the recipient of his last phone call from prison, just hours before his death. She was with him on his private plane when he landed in Teterboro Airport and was arrested by the FBI. A native Belarusian, she married Epstein associate Jennifer Kalin in order to aid her immigration status (more on this below).
Darren and Rich - Darren Indyke, Epstein’s longtime personal lawyer, and Richard Kahn, his longtime accountant. The two are co-executors of the Epstein estate, and both men worked to keep Epstein’s financial activities private while he was alive. According to the Wall Street Journal, “Indyke and Kahn created or were officers of entities that obscured transactions. Kahn managed the expenses, and Indyke withdrew cash in amounts that didn’t trigger federal reporting and pushed to relax travel restrictions that came with Epstein’s sex-offender status. Both explained away suspicious transactions in Epstein’s accounts when banks asked questions.” They helped facilitate marriages between women in order to avoid immigration scrutiny and made payments to women who later came forward with allegations of sexual abuse. By the time of Epstein’s death, there were dozens of Epstein business entities and hundreds of accounts at more than 20 banks—a 2024 lawsuit by Epstein accusers alleges that Indyke and Kahn generated entities that were “shams created for the purposes of facilitating [Epstein’s] sex-trafficking enterprise,” and that, without their support, “Epstein could not have committed his crimes.”
Mike - this could be Michael Sitrick, a renowned Hollywood crisis manager with a long list of clients, including Harvey Weinstein and Jeffrey Epstein. Court records revealed a November 4, 2005 contract between the two, just a few months into the Palm Beach Police Department’s first investigation, and it’s reported that the two began working together again in 2011. Sitrick was awarded the ‘Big Brothers and Big Sisters Walt Disney Man of the Year Award’ in 2008—three years after running PR for a serial child molester.
Anna - a mystery. There are a few Anne’s in his black book, but not any I could find that would make sense on this speed dial. No Anna’s appear in his email. This could be a local employee, a local masseuse, an assistant or lawyer or accountant that’s not prominent in the Epstein record, or possibly the name of an assistant/secretary who is affiliated with someone or somewhere he’s in frequent contact with (a modeling agency, banker, trader, lawyer, etc. She’s listed below Mike, perhaps the number is another way to contact him in an emergency—Epstein was extremely thorough in his black book and collected every possible number associated with his contacts). It could also be all the other things you’re probably thinking about right now.
Patrick - possibly Patrick McHugh, executive director of client services at JP Morgan. In testimony, he revealed documents showing Epstein had wired Ghislaine Maxwell $30.7 million. It’s possible that this was Epstein’s day-to-day contact at JP Morgan for wiring money, which he did a lot of, and would make sense to have on speed dial.
Steph - could be short for Stephanie, which might have been an assistant. In the recently released jeevacation emails, a Stephanie with a redacted last name sends Epstein an email titled ‘List of Events’ with what looks like a schedule. Lesley Groff is CC’d—Groff was an executive assistant to Epstein. Stephanie also sends Epstein an article from Peggy Siegal, an entertainment publicist that appears elsewhere in his inbox. Otherwise, see: Anna.
(There is a verbatim ‘Steph’ in his black book, but it’s Stephen Dunbar-Johnson, President, International of the New York Times. There’s no evidence showing these two to be close, let alone speed-dial-close.)
STC Office - this is an odd one to redact; it’s most definitely the Southern Trust Company, Epstein’s purported ‘DNA data-mining’ business that on paper was supposed to predict customers chances of developing cancer by, according to Epstein, “basically organizing mathematical algorithms.” In reality, STC did no such data mining and served as a front to conceal his trafficking operations. In 2022, the USVI said that Epstein “made fraudulent claims” about the nature of STC’s operation that resulted in $80 million of misbegotten tax benefits which Epstein used to “fuel his criminal enterprise.”
Larry - this is almost certainly Larry Visoki Jr., Epstein’s chief pilot and the first witness brought out at the Maxwell trial.
The only real mystery here is Anna, and possibly Steph. Important to note that their names being redacted doesn’t necessarily indicate much—the government could know who they are or could not know; they could be the subject of an investigation or aiding in one; they could possibly be uninvolved altogether. In cases like these, it’s common practice to be heavy handed in redactions of any apparent female names of unknown origin. What is known is that this list is all very prominent figures in Epstein’s network that he was in close contact with on a day-to-day basis, so whoever it was most likely had the same level of connection. Time will tell.
