Wisdom Playground Rules

Thanks so much for your thoughtful comments on my earlier description of a Wisdom Playground.

Like any well-run playground each wisdom playground needs a set of rules.

Here is a proposal:

1. Stay safe;

2. Have fun;

3. Stay curious;

4. Ask questions;

5. Listen;

6. Practice emotional competency;

7. Focus on what matters;

8. Practice dialogue;

9. Seek real good;

10. Find common ground;

11. Expect intellectual honesty;

12. Create possibilities;

13. Transcend conflict;

14. Come together;

15. Do good;

16. Adopt a global perspective;

17. Evolve toward good government;

18. Advance human rights, worldwide;

19. Live wisely.

Adopting these rules can transform many ordinary spaces such as neighborhoods, coffee shops, pubs, parks, libraries, classrooms, and museums into wisdom playgrounds.
