Leitrim native footballers are playing and winning championships abroad.
The Club Championship is well and truly in full flow at the moment, but among Ireland's exiles, the Club season has reached a climax with finals in Chicago and Western Australia.
Paul Honeyman (Ballinamore Sean O'Heslins) and Colm O'Reilly and Daniel Martin (St. Mary's Kiltoghert), left, won Senior titles with Padraig Pearses in Chicago recently, Daniel also a member of the intermediate championship winning team, while, left, St Mary's duo Michael McWeeney and Diarmuid Kelleher helped St Finbarr's Perth to the Senior title in the Western Australian Championships.
Michael McWeeney, who captained Leitrim in 2019 when the county were promoted to Division three, and Diarmuid Kelleher, a former Leitrim footballer and hurler.
They are pictured with St Mary's and Leitrim duo Elise & Kasey Bruen, who along with Kiltubrid's Sarah McCormack, contested the Ladies Senior Final with St Finbarr's.
