full moons are an opposition of Sol and Luna, meaning that at the halfway point of every lunar cycle, there’s a point of reflection and integration between Sol (consciousness, vitality, Selfhood, the ego), and Luna (the primordial unconscious, the Primal Self, myth-making, and the emotional body), coloured by whatever axis the moon falls in.

this lunation we’re in right now’s illuminating the Leo - Aquarius axis, which is to say, it’s highlighting the relationship we’ve already built between the Self we perform, and the Self we build in the context of the Collective.

the Self we find inside the mythos of Leo is the one that we intentionally weave together out of all the personas we collect over the course of our lives, so that we can show the world who we are. Leo is the Ego. the Personality. the Performance. performance here in the classic sense of persona, meaning the mask worn by an actor that she may be able to play her part convincingly. here, in the fiery poetry of Leo, we learn the role we’re here to embody, and we perform our role with all the gusto and glamour we can muster. here, performance and authenticity aren’t opposites at all, they’re erotic lovers. the performance makes the authenticity possible, and the authenticity deepens the performance into a prayer.

the Self we meet with Aquarius is the one that shows up when we contextualise ourselves within the wider story of the Whole. like an image that makes itself known in the negative space, this Self is formed out of the shape that the mirrors of Other create. Aquarius is the Visionary. the offering the Self makes when it surrenders itself so as to become the Collective.

it’s this specific tension that’s being illuminated under this full moon. what does it mean to integrate the audacity and the bigness of the Individual Self, the persona, the ego, the performance… with the Collective Self, the one-of-many, the offering?

Leo’s medicine is actualisation and worthiness. it comes when we’ve offered up so much of ourselves that the essence of us has been lost, and the performance has become a lifeless, rote-learned script that someone else wrote. Leo is the force of vitality and aliveness that says to be wholly and completely yourself, and to be it loudly and often, is an act of profound generosity. the medicine of Aquarius, on the other hand, pulls us back into the vision we cherish for the future whenever the performance takes us over to the point that we forget we’re just playing a character. never forget that the ego’s performance is not who you are, says Aquarius.

this axis is the bard himself saying all the world’s a stage, and if that’s true, then your charge here is to play your part beloved. play it with everything you’ve got. your role belongs to you alone, and you must embody it. this is your offering.

for ongoing community support in not only finding your role in revolution, but also embodying it, REWILDING is for you. the integration of Aquarius and Leo is individuation. it’s interrupting the conditioning of this culture so ferociously that your life becomes completely and dizzyingly your own. if you’re feeling the tension of this moon, like everything in your life is collapsing a bit, and like you’re on the threshold of something…

…(especially for late-diagnosed neurodivergent parentified eldest daughters working in helping professions while having queer awakenings and reclaiming the magick and mysticism you felt in your bones as a child)…

REWILDING is for you.

no lunation or transit ever happens in a vacuum. all of them happen in context with everything else unfolding around them. they are one melody in a vast and interconnected orchestra.

it so happens that the music moving through our collective mythos under this full moon is more intricate, more nuanced, more vibrant, more dramatic than we’ve heard in a long time. the snapshot of the sky right as the full moon goes exact is the moment in the story right before the climatic second act.

luna’s nodes have just shifted into the sign she’s peaking in (more coming on this very soon), and at her fullness she conjoins erotic and volatile Pluto within two degrees. she sits opposite Sol at an exact conjunction with expansive and dramatic Jupiter, while strict and scythe-weilding Saturn has just turned around in the sky (read more about that here), and following soon behind him is the embodiment of the Wound and the Medicine that pours out of it - Chiron.

with the full moon conjoining Pluto, there’s a collective power that’s being illuminated. as we move into eclipse season — and the nodes in Aquarius and Leo, what you’re seeing and feeling now will be setting the stage for the next two years of living, working, creating, individuating. Pluto is restless. he will not allow you the stillness you might be craving, because for Pluto the stillness becomes stagnation and stagnation becomes death. there’s a volatility to this full moon, the foundations of your understanding of yourself as contextualised by the Whole are crumbling. illusions about where you’re going and why will be highlighted now. it might show up as a sense of dejectedness about a passion you’ve been cherishing for years, or a relationship you built an identity and a projection of future around starting to feel like a cage. pay attention to what’s lighting up for you now. Pluto is your accountability to your own aliveness, your own erotic nature; and sitting it out won’t be an option after Luna and Pluto together illuminate for you the dead stories you’re still living into.

the opposition with Jove and Sol together suggests that your greatest offering, and your best protection, is audacity. if you have a tendency to hide yourself away so as to keep yourself safe, Jupiter here is magnifying the instinct to play and shine and in fact it’ll be in the shining itself that you’ll find the safety that hiding used to provide you.

the child in you that desires delight and wonder and the child in you that’s afraid of being left behind are being integrated under this moon. this conjoining happening as Saturn stations retrograde tells us a story of martyrdom and self-sacrifice, a story of who am I to claim the space that is mine. who am I to desire. who am I to be seen. who am I to offer myself. who am I to think, to feel, to exist at all. the essence of the density moving now is that your performance of smallness will no longer win you any favour with any of the gods you pray to. Jupiter conjoining the sun and aiding in the illumination of Luna is your ego’s redemption arc. all the world’s a stage, darling. you have a role to play. curtain’s up!

the part of my mind that still wants nothing more than to be a Good Girl for Daddy Patriarchy loves the idea that I owe deference and self-consciousness to my proverbial audience. that I have to pay for my right to exist and be seen with a kind of squirming apology for existing in the first place. how dare I be witnessed enjoying myself? how dare I let myself be seen in my own delight? this moon is the director demanding in no uncertain terms that this Good Girl in me get off the stage. her role is done. the second act began a long time ago. and the performance calls for audacity. can we not see that the more space we take up within and around our own bodies, the more grateful we are to be alive at all? the more generous we are to the gods who are watching? this is the calling now.

to contextualise this within the story your aliveness is telling (especially if you have a lot of fixed energy in your chart — lots of taurus / Leo / scorpio / Aquarius) book a reading here.

keep reading for your full moon horoscope, based on your rising sign…
