CSS is fun

CSS is something that web developers often don't really like or understand. It's one of the classic programmer jokes. I just don't think that this is true or should be true. CSS is one of the most awesome web programming languages we have.

Reduce, don't quit

I've just read this great post by Brennan. It's mostly about the fact that we as society turn away to a lot of the meat industries' horrific actions and just eat the meat we want to eat. Who cares if animals have suffered, right? For me it was an interesting read, as I've grown up in a family where the examples he shows was normal lingo when talking about dinner. Things like…

Everything in git? No way!

I've been having fun with computers ever since I discovered Scratch and had followed a beginner HTML course during a fall break. I also got into Minecraft quite heavily and developed my own armor hud mod after a few years. This is when I started using github, where everyone was storing their code. The Martian

The Martian is one of my all-time favorite books. The story follows an astronaut, Mark Watney, who gets stranded on Mars after an unlucky accident. Andy Weir's writing is awesome and all the small scientific details make the whole story very intriguing. Survival on Mars isn't as straightforward as surviving in the wilderness on Earth and the ingenuity Mark Watney shows during the 543…

Why versioning is important

Recently, Mojang has changed how they release Minecraft. This was already apparent, but it's official now. This is mostly because they want to give players new features more often. It also changes their update cycle a lot, because they changed how they version the game.
