Back-to-back races are the perfect way to head into the summer break.

It’s two bites at the cherry for Kimi Antonelli as he looks to build an even more comfortable lead at the top of the championship. And for those who left Belgium feeling hard done by, it’s an immediate chance to put things right before heading off on holiday in a much better mood.

After 44 laps of the Belgian Grand Prix, there were far more frustrated drivers than happy ones.

In fact, it’ll be quicker to list the happy ones.

Kimi Antonelli is probably the happiest man in world motorsport right now. His sixth Grand Prix victory of the season has stretched his lead at the top of the Drivers’ Championship to 45 points over Lewis Hamilton.

Charles Leclerc will also be delighted to have rediscovered his mojo over the last couple of races. He endured a difficult first half of the season, but everything changed at Silverstone when he claimed his first win of 2026. Finishing second in Belgium only reinforces the feeling that he’s back. He has another great opportunity in just a few days’ time at the Hungaroring, but more on that in a moment.
