We the taxpayers are paying millions for Trump’s home renovations

From day one, Trump claimed that it was him — not the US taxpayer — who would be paying for his White House renovations.

But the truth is out: these vanity projects carry a staggering $927 million price tag, with hundreds of millions made available through National Park Service-related accounts for work on the White House grounds.

At a time when Trump claims the nation “can’t afford” to fund healthcare, veterans, and critical services, he is prioritizing:

-A carved granite helipad.

-A luxury visitor screening room.

-Massive fountains in LaFayette Park.

-A sprawling new personal ballroom.

Trump claims he’s fighting for the “forgotten man,” but he’s diverting funds meant for our national parks — the very places where everyday Americans take their families — to build himself a private “Presidential Palace.”

This is a slap in the face to anyone who elected Trump, believing he would drain the swamp of Washington’s insider politics. Instead, he’s behaving like a grubby dictator, with both hands digging into the public coffers.

It’s clear who Trump is interested in helping: himself. Not veterans. Not seniors. Not you.
