CULTIVATING INTERDEPENDENCE: Re-Membering Our Connections
Free Registration for Zoom Link
Are you ready to join in open-hearted kinship with other people and the more-than-human world? Are you longing to claim more fully your place within the web of life? Today, we are witnessing the unraveling of much that we love. Our separation from the living world has damaged or destroyed places of beauty and wonder and left us lonely and heartbroken. Yet, we were never meant to travel this life as singular beings; indeed, it is impossible to do so. It is time to remember and reclaim our place in the family of things.
If this speaks to your heart, consider gathering with others to share in community. In our time together, you can expect shared conversation, small group discussion, and space for quiet reflection as we open to cultivating our sense of interdependence with the living world. Midway through our time together, there will be approximately 30 minutes of silence so that you can move away from technology to be present to the more than human world.
PREPARATION: Consider where you might wander or sit in silence among more-than-human beings during the time offline. Perhaps you’d like to rediscover a small space in your yard, attend to tree or sky from your balcony or porch, linger with leaf, seed, stone, or apple placed nearby. You might even feel called to return to a special location in your memory. This thirty minutes is your opportunity to connect more deeply with the living world around you.
If this resonates with you, it would be wonderful to see you on August 2.
