Leah Goldman · The Intuition Strategist

Hi, I’m Leah Goldman – creator of Intuition Strategy® and Corporate Tarot Cards®.

If you noticed my absence from your inbox, that’s because I hit pause to realign and reset for the next chapter of The Intuition Strategist. Now I’m ready to bring this clarity back to you. The Intuition Strategist Substack is where I share my thought leadership. The Gut Check newsletter is how I bring you quick, powerful insights on intuition, strategy, and decisive leadership to your inbox each week.

My goal is to help you make faster, more confident decisions and get results that feel good. If that’s no longer what you’re here for, you can unsubscribe anytime. But if it is, I’m so glad to be back. Let’s get clear, aligned, and move forward together.

Actionable Intuition is the cornerstone of Intuition Strategy®. In order to take action on what your intuition - your internal trusted advisor - is sharing, you must make the space to hear and understand it. Learn how you can make space by incorporating a powerful realignment practice into your rhythm.

In the Intuition Strategy® Operating System, I teach the concept of the Results Rhythm. This is the iterative cycle of intention setting (where you want to be in 18 months), focusing on key actions, and realignment to see if your actions are leading to your intended results.

The cycle is the same whether you are a leadership team of 15 or a solopreneur. The duration will vary because each organization has its own rhythm: schools operate on semesters, corporations have distinct fiscal years, families organize around school vacations.

While each element of the Results Rhythm is important, the Realignment phase is particularly valuable. Realignment is when you look back at what you’ve accomplished to celebrate victories, observe what blocked progress, and identify adjustments for the next cycle.

Realignment is an opportunity to pause the often non-stop focus on delivery and proactively listen to assess what comes next.

Realignment is an opportunity to pause the often non-stop focus on delivery and proactively listen to assess what comes next. It inserts space and quiets noise for just enough time to allow intuition – your internal trusted advisor – to share what is aligned and reveal what no longer serves your current objectives. Realignment takes invisible data and surfaces them as indicators of what might be the next right step to get where you want to go.

My Intuition Strategy® clients integrate realignment into their Results Rhythms in different ways, depending on the pace of their operations.

My one-on-one clients operate in this rhythm in my 90-day From Gut To Goal program. We cap each cycle with a one-hour individual realignment session, reflecting on where they started the cycle and progress towards their objectives. The most powerful reflections arise from pausing their focused work they thought they should do and realizing that the next right step to get to where they want to go may actually be a very different activity.

Many of my organizational clients have limited opportunities to bring their leadership teams together. We carve out dedicated 90-minute workshop time to look back on the objectives they focused on in the last cycle – whether it was a semester, a client engagement, or a fiscal quarter – and surface important learnings to inform the next cycle of their Results Rhythm.

In my own practice for The Intuition Strategist, I make space for intentional realignment three times per year: In January, I take a breather after the busy holiday season and focus on productive months ahead. In May, I check in as I take another trip around the sun and pace shifts into summer. In September, I regroup for fall, returning with clarity for another school year as new routines begin again.

Despite different missions, ecosystems and rhythms, the common element is how our success builds when we step back from deeply focused doing and give ourselves permission to listen. Carving out purposeful time to reflect, learn, and recommit is a cornerstone of aligned success.

December is a great time for leaders to see how a realignment practice can prepare themselves and their teams for their best results yet.

Carving out purposeful time to reflect, learn, and recommit is a cornerstone of aligned success.

Try this brief exercise in as little as 30 minutes to set you and your team up for clarity and success in 2026.

  1. Set your timeframe: Determine your reflection period. Do you want to look back at the last 3 months, 6 months, or full year? Set clear start and end dates for your reflection. Longer duration may require more time for the exercise.

  2. Identify your focus areas: Identify three areas that have been important or meaningful for you in this past season. This can be personal objectives, goals, or focus areas that you’ve been seeking to make progress in.

  3. Prepare your page: Take one piece of paper for each focus area. At the top of each, write one focus area you will reflect on. Make three columns on each sheet: Victories, Observations, Shifts.

  4. Get ready: Put on some music that helps you focus, with an energizing tempo (to keep you moving!) Set a timer for 5-10 minutes (you’ll use this timer three times, with a short break and time at the end, so use what works in the time you have).

  5. Go!: Start your timer and begin to work on the first page. Feel free to bounce between columns, noting your Victories, Observations and Shifts for that focus area. When time runs out, put your pen down, stand up, and take a short stretch break. Repeat two more times to complete your pages.

  6. Reflect on themes: Set five more minutes on your timer and review your three sheets. Highlight or note any interesting themes that come up.

    • What felt energizing and exciting about the work you’ve done?

    • What could be different going forward about how you work in these areas?

  7. Wrap Up: Keep these pages and reflections for your next intention setting, focus shaping, or sprint design session. You now have a powerful key to sharpening your focus and achieving aligned, impactful results.

A realignment practice is the most valuable, yet most overlooked, element to powerful and fulfilling results. Your intuition knows what is aligned - you just need to hear it to turn it into action. Whether you incorporate this ritual monthly, annually, or somewhere in between, there’s no better time than right now to test it out.

If you try the realignment exercise, drop a comment or email to let me know how it goes. Do you practice your own flavor of realignment? Let me know in the comments how that works for you.
