If you have opened the Sézane site this week, you may have done a small double-take. New identity, new look, and the sense that the brand is opening a new chapter. There is a refreshed logo, an updated website, and a fall collection that feels quieter and more considered than what we have seen from them in a while. This is not a routine seasonal update. It is a real reset, and honestly, I think it’s a change that’s been needed for a while.
Here is the short version of why it happened. Founder Morgane Sézalory has decided to deliberately slow the brand down. She wants to launch fewer new products, spend more time on design and materials, and position the label further upmarket, offering smaller, more carefully curated selections rather than changing everything each season. In her words, the goal is simply to choose better and create better. And the part I find most touching: the idea came to her around the time she turned 40, as a reflection of how her own life and taste had evolved.
Honestly, I want to see how this plays out. When a brand changes its identity, some people love it, and others don’t. I think it was time for a change at Sézane, and while not every piece speaks to me, there are a handful of styles I am absolutely loving for fall and excited to wear.
FYI, I tend to gravitate more toward coats, shoes, and tops from the brand. I don’t do a lot of the bottoms for some reason.

Here are the 12 pieces that caught my attention most for the new season ahead.
Fernand Coat: The color of this coat is absolutely beautiful; it’s neither too red nor too orange. Plus, the high neck gives it an elevated and dramatic look. This coat is going to be the outfit maker. Check the sizing on this coat as it’s a bit different.
Pio Clutch: Probably my favorite handbag from the new collection in any of the colors.
Fletcher Coat: An elevated take on a bomber jacket in my opinion.
Basile Bag: Comes in dark suede, brown, or navy, but I am drawn to the navy, which is rich and elegant-looking.
Suzanne Tote: Such a cute shape for a bag; it’s described as a baguette bag, and I am here for that. I love the white-and-black combination and picked it up last week. I’ll make sure to spray it to help keep it clean. Tie a scarf at the handle or wear it without.
Low Rosalie Ballet Flat: I purchased the vintage red in these, but I honestly love all the colors. The flat is sleek, with a slightly pointed look and not so round.
Mathis Cardigan: Usually not a color I would gravitate toward, but I love the short sleeve on this cardigan. It’s delicate enough to wear with denim but also could be worn with trousers and loafers. I envision keeping a few buttons open with layered necklaces and dark denim.
Robb Jacket: A Short suede jacket available in 4 colors; I prefer the taupe and the chestnut.
Jule Jacket: I am a sucker for anything navy, especially with a chic-looking high collar.
Marjorie Mules: A gorgeous and feminine-looking mule that will look elevated with denim and a sweater for fall.
Auriola Shirt: I bought a top like this last December and wore it so many times. The gold button detail adds something fun to the blouse.
Théo Jumper: Oversized wool sweater that would look beautiful with straight-leg denim and flats or loafers.

I find Sézane shoes incredibly comfortable, and I easily buy several each season. Each of these styles is so different yet neutral enough to wear daily throughout the fall. I normally wear a 6.5 in shoes but take a size 6 in Sézane.
