Hi friends, Thank you so much for your song(s) of summer. I just performed mildly invasive surgery on my Spotify algorithm, and now I’m writing to you with something almost as exciting is it is embarrassing: a new podcast!!!
3rd City is a comedy/spirituality podcast featuring Tucson BFFs — Lauren Duca (me lol) and Max Adler — shooting the shit in and around NY, LA, and our beloved 3rd city. We interview comedians, artists, academics, research scientists, mystics, and, of course, a few clowns. I’ve mentioned Max here before, he is the lead oboist of the Tucson Symphony Orchestra, a Buddhist, a drag queen, and my neighbor out in the desert. With the help of our producer, Melissa Ingle, we are in very early stages, but it’s blazingly obvious 3rd city going show about what it means to be truly creative, how to be “spiritual” such a stupid world, and whether they’re the same thing?
