Laura Vogt · whimsies & other memories

I just love this time of year — everything slowly turning brighter shades of green.

This year winter sped by, days toppling over each other. I’m relishing my daily woods walks, making sure I mark the change of seasons.

Scroll down for:

  • information about launch events

  • B&N 25% off preorder sale

But first—

  • the snowdrops sprouting in the forest, there one day & gone the next

  • vintage purses - I’ve rediscovered Poshmark & adore my vintage tapestry purse

  • did I share this yet? I’m obsessed. Collagen Night Wrapping Mask

  • one night, out back, the owls were wildly wild wild—I woke up in the dead of night & asked my husband: “Is that real?” It was evocative.

  • my new parenting rule: “obvs you must ask for screentime, unless it’s LOTR, and that’s always okay”

  • rereading Seasons of Wonder by Bonnie Smith Whitehouse - It’s rejuvenating & wise.

In the Great Quiet was selected at a March Editors’ Choice for Amazon First Reads. The ebook is F R E E for Prime Members and $1.99 for everyone else.

We’re reading Wendell Berry’s The Peace of Wild Things: Poems in April.

And can I tell you, I’m so deliriously happy to slip that volume into my vintage tapestry satchel this month. His poems are always a salve. Here’s a link to this years’ book club picks for Laura’s Wayward Book Club.

Friends, thank you, each one of you, for your support. Thank you for every review and message. My debut season has brimmed with such joy. You’ve helped boldly launch In the Great Quiet.

I hope, wherever you are, that you are finding little moments of joy and beauty today. Tell me about your wildest surprise, this season.

xo,

Laura
