So imagine you are in Paris in the middle of the Summer, and you decide to just live it. just living it, completely and fully.

You walk, you go to museum, you stop for the pain au chocolat, or you help that cute family take a picture in front of the Louvre. I really enjoyed Hilma Klint at the Grand Palais, it was a really good surprise, the curation is wide and long enough, the inspiration and desire for the artist to blend spirituality and science is actually extremely modern, and the colours and shapes are very kids friendly. Let me show you images.

You can also wear dresses like this one, from day to night, which is super liberating, remember the idea of wearing a nuisette in the day, because of the heat, and carrying with it, also because Paris holds that energy, that a lot is indeed possible.
Its funny, when I moved to NY at the age of 18, I really did feel that.

But then not in London - No hard feeling here, London is great - but has a different kind of power, more subtle. Paris lately has been feeling, to me, like NY felt few years ago.

love that dress which is a super easy way to get dressed and leave the house in the morning, to eventually carry through and do your things. unfortunately it is now sold out. but i love this one as an alternative
I think its so pretty to have the silver jewellery of the white lace from the dress. Here is the necklace
focus on the necklace - If you are into the dress, but also thinking of new season, and new items follow through here as some pieces are great.

There is something quite liberating in spending time in an empty city, it’s like you were allowed backstage for once, and Summer allows you this extra time to wander, to observe, and to notice.

The art of noticing, the birds, the wind, the tourists, the laughter and the love. I think Summer gives you that opportunity, and time slowing down, with the heat and the schedules getting lighter allow you to practice that, too.

Seeing the details.

I have been lucky, I was born in Paris, even luckier I have been living abroad for such a long time, but when I return back to it (ie: Paris) it is with immense love, respect and excitement. I am a walker, I have always been, mountains, city, beach, I can walk hours, it’s my therapy.

And walking by the musee du Louvre everyday, multiple times a day has been so incredibly healing, tourists and people, family, singles, newly wed, eldery and toddler, just all so alive and well, in awe of the decor, taking the pictures, goofing around.

You may think of Paris as a city that can be harsh, unwelcoming, or a bit brutal, but challenge that thought.

Challenge you to find the crack in the light.

love this outfit below too, which is an old dress from Celine, at the time where Phoebe Philo was creative, worn under a cosy oversized jumper. Vans always do the trick, especially when you spend hours walking in the city.

I also biked a bit when I was in town, and it was honestly so dreamy. Although walking remains a super power trick for our brain, I believe biking in a city - carefully - is a form of freedom we take for granted.

If you come to Paris in the summer, you will and can also wander around St Germain des pres, and take pictures of all chairs and lamps you will see. Something I am doing almost religiously when I travel, is looking at product and home decor. This one chair below really caught my eye, the gallery is on rue du Bac, towards la Seine.

What else, im thinking well, you should definitely go to Musee D’Orsay as the permanent collection of Impressionist is quite something, and very soothing. Its super grounding to walk through a museum and catchup with a friend, as supposed to be in a cafe. You feed your brain, your creative spirit, you share a moment with loved ones, and you win, because ultimately you also are moving. I find it super hard to sit still, especially in a city like Paris.

Not hyperactive.

Another great outfit I wore on repeat, to the movie, to the coffee shop, at home working, or even out in the wild.

Top alternative can be found here while trousers can be found there. The necklace is made in ceramic and blended with a bit of Pantelleria stones.

ah, last one - I also would recommend these pieces, silver, and easy to throw on and go. I absolutely love the silver items on white outfits, and the grey is super grounding on this look, which is very easy to reproduce, over and over again.

Until next time,

Laura xx
