You weren’t meant to tough it out for one more day, to go through the motions, to just get through. You don’t have to count down the days until _______ (that thing you’re looking forward to). You were made for MORE. You can find joy today

.

Jesus promises you abundance (John 10:10), goodness, and love (Psalm 23:4) all of your days–including today.

But some days are hard. Some seasons are hard. Sometimes it’s a struggle to delight in our days. Even then, Jesus still has joy for us. Sometimes we just have to look for it.

Want to go on a treasure hunt with me?

We can start by asking Jesus to show us something lovely we can:
👀See
😋Taste
👋Feel
👃Smell
👂hear
Then we can take a moment to thank Jesus for each of them. Practicing gratitude makes our joy stickier, helps us remember the good when the bad sneaks in.

Pop in the comments something lovely you can be thankful for today to jump start your joy journey:

And….for more ways to discover JOY, give a listen to my chat with Nicole Zasowski, a Christian counselor, who’s an expert on finding and holding onto joy.

And you can read about how Elizabeth (Jesus’ aunt/John the Baptist’s mom) was a pro at finding and holding onto joy in all circumstances in Brave Woman, Mighty God: 30 Things You Can Do.

So sweet to see these lovely women in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area reading Brave Woman, Mighty God for their summer Bible study. I’d love to see pics of your group! Send them my way!

Praying joy all over you live today, xo Laura
