I spent a Sunday morning mending a pair of jean shorts. As you can see, I'm fond of visible mending. I was happy to have some neon pink thread and light blue embroidery thread for this patch job. The off-white thread is Japanese Shashiko thread — my favourite mending thread.
Sometimes I spend the day or week on the lookout for surprising colour combinations in nature and the cityscape. I might use these colours in a drawing later today. Here's another mending moment with light green and blue embroidery thread that could be inspiration for a painting.

Colour Combo Prompt: Look for colour combinations you like. Snap a photo or make a drawing using the colours. Keep it simple and make a swatch of each colour. Put the swatches in a special box for colour inspiration. Buy two new coloured pencil crayons this week as a gift to yourself.
