Feel like the rules changed when you reached that certain age?
They did.
This series shares tips and tricks to navigate this time in life.

There comes a point in midlife when you realize your body has changed. The habits that worked in your 30s don’t seem to work anymore.

Suddenly you’re hearing you need to:

  • Eat more protein.

  • Lift heavy weights.

  • Walk in Zone 2.

  • Lower cortisol.

  • Heal your gut.

  • Balance your hormones.

  • Prioritize sleep.

  • Track your blood sugar.

  • Drink electrolytes.

  • Try intermittent fasting...or maybe don’t.

  • Take creatine.

  • Take magnesium…but make sure it’s the right kind.

  • Cold plunge… but not too cold.

  • Sauna.

  • Red light therapy.

  • Dry brush.

  • Meditate.

  • Journal.

  • Manage stress.

Before you know it, taking care of yourself feels like another full-time job.

If you’ve ever thought...

“Why am I trying so hard and still not feeling like myself?”

You’re not alone.

Here’s the thing. There are changes we need to make in midlife.

Our hormones shift.

We lose muscle more easily.

Recovery becomes more important.

Sleep matters more.

Stress affects us differently.

Protein becomes more important.

Strength training becomes more important.

Mobility becomes more important.

This isn’t about pretending our bodies haven’t changed. It’s about learning to work with them instead of against them.

Most wellness advice isn’t wrong - it’s just incomplete.

Each expert is teaching one piece of the puzzle.

One says fasting.

Another says never fast.

One says cardio.

Another says only strength training.

One says count macros.

Another says intuitive eating.

One says cold plunges.

Another says nervous system regulation is the answer.

No wonder women feel overwhelmed.

When you try to do everything, you end up doing nothing consistently.

Somewhere along the way, wellness became another thing to optimize.

Another checklist.

Another reason to feel behind.

Another place to wonder if you’re failing.

But what if wellness wasn’t something you had to constantly “keep up with”?

What if it simply became part of how you live?

After decades of teaching wellness, yoga, movement, and coaching women, here’s what I believe: The best wellness plan is the one you’ll actually do.

Not because you’re forcing yourself but because it fits your life.

That doesn’t mean we ignore science. It means we simplify it and focus on the habits that move the needle the most and are the easiest for us to begin.

When that gets easier, you add another layer.

It’s a lot like decluttering. Start cleaning up one area, one that feels easy, and then you’ll get energy from it and have the bandwidth to do another area.

Start a habit where it feels best:

  • Move your body.

  • Eat enough protein.

  • Sleep as well as you can.

  • Reduce stress.

  • Build strength.

Create moments of joy and practice consistency over perfection.

Because those simple habits, repeated over time, are far more powerful than the perfect routine you abandon after two weeks.

I don’t want wellness to take over your calendar. I want it to give you more life.

More energy

More confidence

More freedom

More years doing what you love

That’s a very different goal than spending every waking minute trying to become the “perfect” healthy woman.

The next time you find yourself thinking you need to add one more thing to your wellness routine, pause and ask yourself:

What’s one simple habit I could do consistently this week?

Not perfectly.

Just consistently.

Small things, done often, create extraordinary change.

I created SIMPLY :: well because I believe women deserve a different approach to wellness.

One that’s grounded in science but free from overwhelm.

One that honors the realities of midlife without making you feel like you’re constantly falling behind.

Each week we focus on one area of wellness, break it down into manageable steps, and build habits that actually fit into your life.

Because wellness should support your life—not become your life.

Choose ONE super small habit you can begin to incorporate into your life. Make sure it’s small enough for you to say, “Oh, that’s so easy!”

If drinking a full 80oz of fluids each day has always felt overwhelming, make it just one extra glass a day.

Make it small and very doable.
