Federal funding update - FY2027

2025 LSC Technology Initiative Grant awarded to LASP: Project will enable LASP to assess modernization of client intake system

(April 28, 2026) WASHINGTON, D.C. - LASP has been awarded a $35,000 grant from the Legal Services Corporation to assess modernization of its client intake system. The grant is one of 32 Technology Initiative Grants (TIG) totaling $4.2 million to organizations in 22 states. LSC announced the grants on Dec. 18, 2025.

MIE Journal 40th anniversary issue: Connecting with community through legal aid open houses

Federal funding update - FY2026

(Updated Jan. 24, 2026) WASHINGTON - In a bipartisan show of support for legal aid earlier in January, the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate approved a $540 million appropriation for the Legal Services Corpoation (LSC) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2026. The bill was signed into law by President Trump on Jan. 23, 2026.

Know Your Rights as a Renter in Pennsylvania: community presentation

(Jan. 15, 2025) During Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week from Nov. 16-22, 2025, the Chester County Partnership to End Homelessness, Legal Aid of Southeastern PA, and Housing Equality Center of Pennsylvania hosted two virtual events, “Know Your Rights as a Renter” in Pennsyvlania, in English and Spanish. The recordings and slides are now available in both languages.
