As the month comes to a close, I find so much joy in looking back at what we’ve created together in our cosy art club. It’s a wonderful time to pause and reflect on the lines and shapes that flowed from our sessions.
In this post, I’ve gathered the sketches from our nature drawing sessions, along with some exclusive, ‘under the radar’ pieces I haven’t shared anywhere else yet—you’re the first to see them. I also want to invite you to take a mindful moment for yourself: look back at your own work this month. What did you learn? How did it feel to connect with nature on the page? I’d love to hear about your own creative journey in the comments.
These are some of the artworks that people shared in our club - it’s so wonderful to see what everyone created. And because everyone has their own handwriting, everyone uses slightly different materials and methods, we can all learn from each other. I think that’s my favourite part of the club.
Unfortunately, we had to postpone the Summer Meadows workshop a bit because of the heatwave here in Europe, so the sketchbook pages from that session will be shown in the next post.
In June, I tried to find easier pathways for myself. Life is hard enough as it is, so it doesn’t help if we make creating art more complicated than it needs to be, does it? So I found joy in the little things and started something really exciting. Here’s what June looked like behind the studio door.
