As the UA landscape evolves, so do the creative trends that shape how games communicate with their audiences. With the rise of Applovin and increased spend on SDK networks, I’ve decided to bring you a monthly trends review of top-performing playable ads across different genres.
📖The Playable BIBLE: Winning recipe for 2026

Playable ads in 2025 stopped being a “cool side format” and quietly became the backbone of serious UA, especially once you plug them into video‑led funnels, AI workflows, and brutal creative volume.
For those who read only summaries, here are the playable trends for June in a nutshell:
XP Hero – Township-style playable for an action RPG
XP Hero is a pretty straightforward action RPG, yet the team went with a Township-style playable that has almost nothing to do with the core combat fantasy.
Fish Eater.io - Evolution of eating
Fish Eater.io’s playable is basically a fully scripted evolution funnel – and I mean that in a good way. You start in pure “almost eaten” panic, and no matter what you do, you keep evolving upwards until the ad hands you off to the promise of fighting the big boss in the real game.
Meowdoku – turning the in‑game tutorial into a playable
This Meowdoku creative is a nice blueprint for “tutorial-as-playable”: roughly half of the ad is a guided lesson, and the rest is you finishing the puzzle on your own so you feel ready to play the real game.
