Hello friends!

If this newsletter looks a bit different it’s because I’ve moved my email list to Substack. Things are changing in the online space and I have to pivot a bit so I can better communicate with you.

Recipes and preserving tutorials are still going to be delivered to your mailbox. The content on the blog is still free. However, if you’d like to support my work and help me turn Lady Lee’s Home into a community-supported publication, please consider becoming a paid subscriber. You can learn more here…

Days are comfortable 60-70 degrees, it doesn’t get dark until almost 8 pm, and nights aren’t freezing anymore! I think that we can safely say that spring is here.

95% of the spring vegetables are in the ground and now it’s time to start the summer vegetables indoors. If you want to follow the farming side of things, you can follow Kismet Farm NC on both TikTok and YouTube. I post farm updates and gardening tutorials in a short form format.

I also have a farm newsletter now! For my local friends, the first portion of the newsletter will let you know what is going to be available at the markets that week, then, I’ll share some of the happenings on the farm! Even if you aren’t local, I’d love for you to join me and follow this journey of building a vegetable farm. You can subscribe to that newsletter by clicking here.

Strawberries will be harvested by the bucket soon, and I want you to be ready with all the yummy recipes!

To add to this collection of strawberry recipes, I added a Strawberry jalapeno Jam recipe this year. Ohhh you guys, it’s delicious!

I didn’t get to write it all on the blog yet, however, the video tutorial is on YouTube and the recipe is in the description of the video (on YouTube).

Lastly, if you want to grow your own strawberries, check out my guide for planting bare-root strawberries in the garden.

That’s it for now you guys! Please bear with me as I figure out Substack. It’s a new platform for me. So far I love it, however, if something doesn’t look right, doesn’t go where it needs to, or isn’t clear, please let me know by replying to this email.

Happy spring everyone!
