My first startup was originally called “Persai” (Personal AI). I had a dream of persistent search with learning models. In May 2007, we moved to San Francisco and started a machine learning company for consumers.

Anatype 1.4 has been released. I fixed an issue with scrolling and upgraded the text view component.
Writing with timers in Anatype
Anatype now has a very simple timer feature to pace your writing. You can easily start a 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 or 60 minute timer from the menu or with a key command. Simply select from the Timer menu to start one. You’ll hear a sound of a timer starting when initiated and an ending sound when time is up.
Markdown support for Anatype
I have added Markdown support in Anatype 1.2 now released to the Mac App Store.

I want to write more so I decided to make an app to improve my writing instead. This helped push off actually having to write anything until my app was finished. Unfortunately for me, the app is done and now I can no longer make excuses.
