Building collapses in Calvert, no injuries reported

CALVERT, Texas (KRHD) — A building collapsed Friday morning in Robertson County, prompting officials to cordon off the area and warn residents to stay away.

The collapse in Calvert happened at the corner of Mitchell and Main streets on the west side of town, according to Robertson County Emergency Management.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

Emergency officials have placed barricades and tape around the collapse site, which they consider unsafe. Residents are being asked to avoid the area.

The cause of the collapse was not immediately known.
