Concert Reminder - Wednesday June 24

This renowned group came together in late 2004. They devote themselves to the first century and a half of the string quartet, with a healthy attention to such lesser known composers as their namesake, Joseph Leopold Eybler (1765-1846). We won’t hear any Eybler in this concert (except perhaps an encore?) but they are bringing us quartets by Eybler’s near-contemporaries Joseph Boulogne (Le chevalier de Saint-George, 1745–99) and Hyacinthe Jadin (1776-1800).

Joseph Boulogne, Le chevalier de Saint-George: String Quartet in G minor, Op. 14 #6
Hyacinthe Jadin: String Quartet in E major, Op. 3 No. 2
Mozart: String Quartet in E-flat major, K. 428

A rare opportunity to hear quartets by these composers!
(Except Mozart, of course…)
